How to Make
Ingredients
5 cups apples; peeled and sliced (about 8 medium)
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
½ cup rolled oats
½ cup brown sugar, packed
¼ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ cup butter
¼ cup chopped nuts (optional)
Tip: Leave out nuts if serving to young children because of choking risk.
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Place apples in a 2 quart square baking dish; stir in granulated sugar.
- In a separate bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon.
- Cut in butter with 2 knives until mixture becomes like coarse crumbs.
- Stir nuts into topping and sprinkle over apples.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden.
